Early Years (Reception - 4 Years Old)
Early Years learning is for children aged 4, giving every child a joyful and secure start to school life.
Positive relationships between staff, children, and parents are at the heart of BIST's Early Years environment. We provide a caring, language-rich setting where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Every child is encouraged to become a confident communicator, an independent learner, and a kind friend as they begin their educational journey.
Reception (4 Years Old)
Our Reception class provides a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment designed specifically for children aged four.
Learning is carefully planned around the Characteristics of Effective Learning, encouraging children to play, explore, investigate, create, think critically, and develop resilience when faced with new challenges.
Through a balanced combination of child-initiated play, practical activities, guided learning, stories, songs, and hands-on experiences, children develop confidence, independence, creativity, and strong social skills.
Rich language opportunities and meaningful interactions help build the foundations for future success.
Our Reception programme prepares children for a smooth transition into Year 1 by fostering curiosity, early academic skills, problem-solving abilities, and a lifelong love of learning.
